In Microsoft Word, sometimes we need to work in two languages specially in typing or composing in a document. For instance, you have to type in two different languages in your document. And the languages are Bengali and English. If it is here that you have to change one language/ font-family into anther for your document, this is something really very bothering. As a result, you have to spend a lot of time to complete the work. But if we use shortcut to change the font-family, the typing work can be more convenient and time consuming. To do this, we generally use shortcut keys and have to follow the steps given below:
If you want to delete or change any shortcut keys which you customize the follow the steps given below:

- For choosing font 1
- First go to File Menu > Option > Custom Ribbon > Customize .
- Then from the opening window choose Fonts from the categories option on the left-top corner.
- Then choose Font-family / font (e.g. SutunnymMJ) from the Fonts option on the right-top corner.
- Now press your shortcut keys (e.g. Ctrl+Alt+1) in the Press New Shortcut Keys box. After pressing keys, they will appear automatically in the box. And this will work for Bengali font selection.
- Now click Assign.
- Click on OK button.
- DONE !
- For choosing font 2
- For selecting your 2nd font follow steps 2 to 6 as above.
- But this time select another font which one you want to use. (e.g. Times New Roman).
- Choose your shortcut keys for the 2nd font which you chose (e.g. Ctrl+Alt+2).
- You should remember that you can't choose same shortcut keys for the different font-family.
- Now everything is done!!
If you want to delete or change any shortcut keys which you customize the follow the steps given below:
- Go to File or Office button
- Click Options
- Then Custom Ribbon
- Now go to Customize and click on it
- Click Reset All (find it at the bottom of the dialog box)
- Click OK
- Then exit from the Options
- DONE !!
